Did you hear?
April 16, 2014

I'm running a big risk today. At the risk of being grossly misunderstood - or being perceived as unnecessarily and unkindly critical - I've got to make the following points as clear as possible.

God's church is headed for war, it's simply no time to beat about the bush.

Recently we watched Doug Batchelor’s response to Pope Francis’ recent appeal for unity among Chrstians. Delivered at a gathering of Charismatics/Pentecostals chaired by Kenneth Copeland, the Pope’s appeal was palpable; so too was that of his ostensibly non-Roman Catholic envoy, Pastor Tony Palmer.

From what we know of the Jesuit penchant for disguise, however, I wouldn’t be surprised if Pastor Palmer isn’t a died-in-the-wool Jesuit, or Franciscan, or other oath-bound supporter of the papacy. For years I’ve felt this way about every last one of the Lutheran and Methodist ministers who’ve abandoned the Lutheran and Methodist churches in favor of an ecumenical alliance with the papacy. Frankly, most if not all of the vaunted ecumenical movement, I believe, is a giant fraud orchestrated directly from the Vatican.

At any rate, Pastor Doug summed up the entire evening by appropriately quoting from The Great Controversy and showing just how much of a prophetic fulfillment the Pope’s appeal had been. What really struck me, however, was not so much what Pastor Doug had to say, but what he didn’t.

Before we get to that though, let me give you a glimpse of two new ads (one a print ad, the other video) that we believe will reveal the real nature of this power appealing for unity.

You’ll be able to click on the print ad in a moment; for now let’s go back to Pastor Doug.

Did you notice?

  • Not once did he reach for The Great Hope in an effort to show prophecy having been fulfilled.
  • How could he? Every prophecy penned by the servant of the Lord in The Great Controversy has been stripped from this book. So too has everything inimical to the Roman Catholic Church.

Pastor Doug’s 48 minute video, aptly entitled: Pope’s Video Fulfills Prophecy, has been viewed over 400,000 times. Look again at the size of that audience! If ever there was a time to have demanded that the church cease its treacherous gutting of The Great Controversy, this was it!

To my mind, if the Seventh-day Adventist Church is to counter the Pope’s illusory appeal, five things need to happen immediately:

  1. The real Great Controversy needs desperately to be brought to the front.
  2. All remaining copies of the deceptively labeled, “Sharing Edition of The Great Controversy,(i.e., The Great Hope) need to be shredded, burned, dumped, or otherwise destroyed.
  3. Apologies need to be made (and refunds issued) to the thousands of loyal Seventh-day Adventists who naively thought they were sponsoring The Great Controversy, but whose funds were deceptively siphoned off to publish The Great Hope.
  4. The devils who foisted this scam upon the church need to be fired.
  5. Rather than simply giving The Great Controversy away (which cheapens its value) a worldwide advertising campaign worthy of the Church’s Fortune 500 status needs to be launched.

Properly presented, I know untold millions of copies of The Great Controversy can be sold across our planet. I know it. I feel it. I know it in my bones! Everybody wants to know the future.

So why skirt: (a) the satanic gutting of The Great Controversy and (b) the misleading labeling of The Great Hope?

You’d have to ask Pastor Doug that, but I have a sneaking suspicion it has to do with what 3ABN will or will not allow on their station.

I’ve already tackled this subject in our DVD: Should Ted Wilson Be Impeached?, but the long and the short of it is that we now live at a time when we either “think with the church, or be crushed.” This adage is as true within the Seventh-day Adventist Church today as it ever was during the blood-curdling millennium when the Roman Catholic Church slaughtered dissidents at will.

Should Pastor Doug ever have the boldness to raise the issue of the gutting of The Great Controversy (at the very time, mind you, when the world desperately needs to learn the very lessons gutted) he’d better prepare himself for the consequences.

Yes, consequences.

Such as?

Such as the fact that he could be off the air in a heartbeat.

It’s a sad commentary, but in this cheap popularity contest we call loyalty, nobody wants to rock the boat.

“How can ye believe, which receive honour one of another, and seek not the honour that cometh from God only?” John 5:44

Beyond the false unity engendered by the silence of people who know precisely what is going on – but who refuse to open their mouths – I have something else to point out.

I believe many of the Charismatic leaders who stood to applaud the Pope at this meeting would never have made that mistake had they read The Great Controversy even once. And Satan knows it too – which is why he has men like our General Conference President, Ted Wilson, strutting around planet earth pushing this shameless counterfeit, The Great Hope.

But it won’t always be that way.

Barely a few weeks ago our ministry promised to wage “total war” against The Great Hope. By God’s grace we’re now poised to deliver. The first of two ads designed to teach critical lessons about the papacy (lessons that Kenneth Copeland and his tongue-speaking buddies evidently never knew, or have conveniently forgotten) was scheduled to run on Sunday, April 20th, but has had to be pushed back until we receive all the funding for the ad. Thus far $1,000 of the $3,000 have been raised.

Providentially designed three weeks prior to the Pope’s recent appeal, it resurrects hot-button terms many would rather see dead: terms like “inquisition” and “antichrist.” Why? Precisely because of what gatherings like Copeland’s teach us – i.e., insofar as the blood-lust of the Roman Catholic Church is concerned, even religious leaders have been absolutely dumbed-down!

With no Great Controversy in their hands – no James Wylie, no Merle d'Aubigné, no Henry Grattan Guinness – they don’t really have a grasp of the history that precipitated the Protestant Reformation.

To withstand the specious arguments of antichrist in support of “Christian unity,” today’s religious leaders – as well as the untold millions they shepherd – desperately need to be educated.

  1. For one, they need to know the biblical reasoning employed by their forefathers in identifying the Roman Catholic Church as antichrist!
  2. They also need to know what precipitated clauses like America’s First Amendment: “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.”

Our ad does both.

It teaches – unapologetically!

How did Ellen White put it? On page 616 of The Great Controversy, while amplifying Genesis 32: 7-8, she reinforces a lesson that those of us living on the verge of eternity need desperately to learn. In these verses Jacob is about to face his brother Esau after having defrauded him 21 years earlier.

“Then Jacob was greatly afraid and distressed: and he divided the people that was with him, and the flocks, and herds, and the camels, into two bands; And said, If Esau come to the one company, and smite it, then the other company which is left shall escape.”

What’s Ellen White’s comment here? Listen carefully!

“So should the followers of Christ, as they approach the time of trouble, make every exertion to place themselves in a proper light before the people, to disarm prejudice, and to avert the danger which threatens liberty of conscience.”

Translated: we shouldn’t just stand by and watch prophecy unfold! In the wake of the Pope’s dramatic appeal, it shouldn’t just be business as usual in the church. It can’t! Rather, while denouncing his call for unity as sheer hypocrisy, we should make every exertion – now – to place ourselves “in a proper light before the people!”

That’s what our ad does!

In these six paragraphs we make every exertion to explain to the masses that while we Seventh-day Adventists don’t hate anybody, we have the awesome duty – no matter how politically incorrect it may be – of keeping ever fresh before the people some of the more unpopular lessons of history.

“What advantage then hath the Jew? …  Much every way: chiefly, because that unto them were committed the oracles of God. For what if some did not believe? Shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect?” Romans 3: 1 – 3.

The duty placed upon our shoulders may be difficult, but it’s all part of being keepers of the flame.

  • Take the time.
  • Read the ad.
  • Judge for yourself.

You can click on the link below and read it word for word.

If our ad is something you can ignore, then go ahead and ignore it. If it’s something, however, that you agree is desperately needed today – particularly in light of the Pope’s recent appeal – then we’d appreciate your support.
